Bahloul, the Exhausted Donkey

I had a lot of fun working on this book — trying to emulate the Egyptian environment and discovering the playful, funny character of the donkey in this story, and perhaps in others.

While working on it, I used many sources to bring it out exactly as it appears: films, traditional costumes, and books. There is a lovely adventure here, and the book has a very warm feel, full of lovable childish mischief.
