Our Paths to Damascus

“Our Paths to Damascus” (دروبنا إلى دمشق) is a photographic exhibition about return. For its poster I set small red-robed figures walking a pale road that cuts straight through a desaturated, war-worn Damascus, so the eye follows their path home through the damage rather than around it.

The bilingual title, the deep red field and the sparing red accents were chosen to hold grief and resolve in the same frame. The exhibition opened at the National Library on Umayyad Square, 9–14 December 2025.
